Keystone House Appoints New Executive Director

Greater Norwalk Chamber Member Keystone House, Nicholas Hoffman, Executive Director NORWALK, CT, June 1, 2022. Keystone House, a nonprofit organization that provides residential and psychosocial services for adults with psychiatric disorders in greater Norwalk, CT, announced that it has appointed Nicholas Hoffman as its new Executive Director. Mr. Hoffman joined the organization in March and succeeds Valerie Williams who retired in December after more than thirty years with the organization.

Mr. Hoffman has an 18+ year career leading mental health and violence prevention organizations during times of crisis, transition, and rapid growth, scaling organizations, and driving mission and vision. A few career highlights include leading a statewide effort to introduce a trauma informed play therapy to Department of Children and Families Extended Day programs. Led a $7 million Capital Campaign to build a state-of-the-art child guidance center. Additionally, he’s an active volunteer in his hometown of Bethel, serving as an elected member of the Board of Education for two terms.

“Mr. Hoffman has dedicated himself to the nonprofit sector and has an intimate understanding of the obstacles faced by organizations that provide mental health in Connecticut and a track record of successfully navigating these challenges,” said Anthony Perrone, Board Chair. “We are confident he will provide the strong leadership and vision Keystone House needs to move into the future.”

Our mission is help individuals adjust to and remain in the community environments of their choosing by providing them with necessary life skills and tools to help them live as independently as possible.
